Parents/Guardians,
COMPULSORY SUMMER SCHOOL (SS2, JSS2,
GRADE 5)
This is to inform you that
according to our new policy on education and the need for effective preparation
for external examinations, the summer school is compulsory for all the students
in SS2, JSS2 and Grade 5 pupils in primary school.
The reason is that the
school children in these classes need adequate academic time to prepare them
and put finishing touches to the requirements of such external examinations
like G.C.E, SSCE, NECO, JAMB, BECE and common entrance examinations. You are
all aware that the competitive nature of these examinations coupled with
federal government’s directives on these examinations have made them
challenging, and we must get our students equal to the task.
However, the summer school
is for all primary and secondary school classes but compulsory for SS2, JSS2
and Grade 5 who will be taking external examinations next session.
