LAGOOZ WINS U.S.A CONSULATE
ESSAY COMPETITION AWARD
Lagooz
Schools, known for its excellence, bagged a meritorious award in an essay
competition organized by U.S.A Consulate in Nigeria on the topic
“Waste Management: What I can do to
make a difference”
The
Consulate invited two students from each of the 80 reputable Secondary Schools
selected for the competition. It was like a battle of the Titans because out of
a total of 160 students, only 5 would qualify, or finally emerge winners. The
students selected by Lagooz went into action, wrote the essay and finally
submitted to the U.S.A Embassy, Lagos.
Fortunately,
one of the students, Miss Rotimi Inioluwa Glory, emerged within the first five.
It did not, however, come to the School as a surprise going by her sound
academic pedigree, commitment and creditable performances in internal and
external quiz, debates and examinations.
On
Thursday, 24th May, 2012, she was one of the five qualifiers in the essay
competition who were given a meritorious award at U.S.A. Consulate office, Victoria Island, amidst a cheering audience in the Public
Affairs Auditorium of the Embassy.
We
are happy with the honour she has brought to the School and her parents. What
is more? It is a practical endorsement of our claim to excellence and hard work.
Once
more, we promise that we shall continue to offer the best that will make your
children/wards the first among equals, and consequently take them to greater
heights.
“We
say only what we cherish and mean”.
LAGOOZ BAGS A NATIONAL AWARD
The Quality Management Development Institute, in
recognition of the qualitative and excellent academic programmes of Lagooz
Schools, has nominated our institution
as the winner of “National Quality Development School of the Year 2012” based on
several parameters the body used for their judgment. Among such yardsticks are
the following:
a. Quality
tutorship
b. Quality and
focus leadership
c. Quality and
equipped laboratories.
d. Sound
educational ethics
e. Student/parent’s
satisfaction
f. International
education best practices
g. Operational
excellence.
h. Adequate
recreation facilities.
These are
just the few parameters used among many others.
What
this translates to is that Lagooz has a future as entrenched in our mission and
vision to transform the students into veritable instruments of a proud Nigerian
nation-state and, of course, their individual families. Besides, we are happy
that even at the national level, we are moving with the times through our
numerous equipment and facilities.
However,
be informed that we also partner with some universities in Europe and America because
they have found us worthy as an institution of a high quality capable of
churning out the best and highly baked academic virtuoso.
These award comes up on Wednesday, 6th June,
2012 12noon at NTA network.

LAGOOZ MONTESSORI QUALIFIES IN LAGOS STATE
GOVT. ESSAY COMPETITION.
As
the Lagooz Secondary school continues to make the
school proud with myriad of academic laurels from national and international
organizations, Lagooz Montessori, the primary school wing exhibited a resounding
academic performance with Miss Princess Otubela qualifying in a Lagos State
Government Essay Competition which discussed how to be road friendly, among
others.
The
first round of the essay had over 8,000 entries from pupils in various Lagos State
primary schools. It is pertinent to say that only 15 successful pupils were
short listed for the second round. Then,
on Monday 2nd till Thursday 4th 2012, the selected 15 pupils embarked on a
transport education tour during which they visited Ministry of transportation,
LASTMA, LAGBUS, Academic Press and Wesley I and II schools for the Hearing Impaired.
Thereafter,
Princess Otubela (from Lagooz) and 4 others qualified for the final stage
coming up on Tuesday 5th of June, 2012. The programme will have in attendance
the Executive Governor of Lagos State as Special Guest of Honour and the Honorable
Commissioner for Transportation, Lagos
State, among other
dignitaries.
This
is certainly a mark of academic excellence.
